Lost Glow
Lost, it's gone, can no longer be seen the glow from beneath the door. Are you sleeping now, are you awake only by the night light of a radiating phone screen held near your still wide eyes?
Have no bed time, just a time one goes to bed. I'm not a child, I just rest my head on my pillow because I choose to.
Once the slivers of light have been extinguished, later hour's of moving through the hall of darkness become a thing. Awake as they sleep, try to follow in their food steps.
Deep sleep is ideal, yet you wake unsure why. Was it a dream, are you in the dark, lost hour's of night taken by a drive of the mind. Can't shut it off, it must run it's course. Sit I the dark waiting for your turn.
In time the glow returns, there are others just like you; now awake during the sleepy night. The glow seen from the cracks of a nearby door frame. You are not alone as you once thought yourself to be. How long will they look to your glow just as you look to theirs...
