HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO THE LOST PILOT, LET'S GET WASTED AS THE PLANE GOES DOWN
PETE WENTZ'S LOST MTV SHOW PILOT
Pete has always been a jack of all trades, even in his little hardcore bands in the 90s, and continuing into his stardom. Us at the FOB Archive are consistently impressed by just how much *stuff* this guy has done- most intriguingly, when he dips his toes into acting. Watch this video to learn all about Punk Is Dad, Pete's attempt at a sitcom for MTV that is currently mostly lost. What do you think? Would this have been a killer show, or a major flop?
Fun fact for those who have read this all: This isn't Pete's only stint in TV show making. He also tried to make a show called "Permanent Vacation" that has virtually no information available on it. He also pitched a kids cartoon about protecting the environment called "Bronze Blue" with Mark Hoppus of Blink-182. Pete would have voiced a fish rockstar, but the show never made it past the pitch bible, which is viewable online.
Holy crap! So many lost pilots have been found this year. First the Family Guy pilot, then the Jimmy Two Shoes pilot, the Thomas Tank Engine pilot, the Phineas and Ferb pilot, and now the OG Backyardigans pilot "Me and My Friends." 2025 is the year for lost pilots.

Lost Unaired Pilot from Summer 2004
In July 2004, an early version of the Lost pilot episode leaked online. I found it on an old external harddrive (dated July 30th, 2004) and figured I'd share it on the 20th anniversary of the pilot episode. It's pretty much the same as the episode that aired two months later, with the largest difference being totally different music. Enjoy!

Part Two:
The original concept of the Fairly OddParents was believed to be in late 1997, before the Oh Yeah Cartoons in 1998. Or so we thought.
Early images reveal Mr. Crocker as one of the creator's earliest characters, dating back to 1996. Could this be a secret pilot for Nickelodeon?
The show was titled "Barnaby's Bug," but still in Dimsdale. It follows a boy (Barnaby) who saves a magic bug. Mr. Crocker's role is the same.
Please don't take these images too seriously, unless you hear more. Perhaps FOP is older than we thought.
Barnaby = Timmy Turner, (despite looking like Chester McBadbat)
Bug = Cosmo and Wanda, the fairies
