My thought is that (and this isn’t a unique take on vampires at all but roll with me) vampires biting each other is a very intimate and erotic experience. Their venom mingles and sets their senses ablaze, and they briefly share an almost telepathic link where they can feel not only their own pleasure but their partner’s pleasure as well. It’s overwhelming but in the most satisfying way.
This is the part of vampirism Sylvia misses the most. She’s a fairly closed off person, always has been, and sharing bites allowed her to let her guard down and experience intense sensations and emotions with others. She brings this up with Corrine at one point and Corrine is casually like “you know, humans like biting each other, too” to which Sylvia responds “yeah but it’s not the same”.
