Tom kissed his husband with a low reverberation, and then snagged up his glass of bourbon, and headed out of their bedroom to start downstairs. The black candles in the wall scones of the old castle already were lit and flickering haunted shadows along the ornate stone staircase and front hallway. One girl he had compelled was softy playing the piano in the living room where most of the seating was around the fireplace which was lit as well.
Spooky cobwebs were hugs adding a nice finished touch to the old mansion’s Halloween Aesthetic.
This was going to be a delicious night for his family and he totally meant that literally. The guests to their lovely party would be arriving any minute.
“Yeah, I’m all ready for this party, Dad.” He appeared in the hallway, completely oblivious to what his dads had truly intended in all of this. It’d be his first Halloween and well, it he was kind of excited. “Harry and Farley should be arriving any minute.”
Well, Tom expected as much, although, he couldn’t help the mild roll of his eyes. All right, whatever~. It wasn’t as if the vermin would actually be able to stop what was happening even if they wanted. In fact, he might find their expressions interesting. “You need a costume, Devi~.”
“Oh, I’ve got one. I’ve got a mask and well, I figured I’d just do what you’re doing and make my horns appear or something. Where’s dad?”
“Upstairs still getting ready. He’ll be down in a minute. You seen super jumpy, Devrim. Have you eaten?”
“Eaten? What? No. I figured I’d just you know wait for all the food at the festivities. I saw that lady Swanson whatever cooking stuff in the kitchen for everyone. She said she’d make me a couple hamburgers, too, so don’t worry.”
