“Anyone ever tell you stealth wasn’t your strong point, Leah?” Although, stealth didn’t seem like the goal for the older vampire, someone Camille wouldn’t have even known had she not been caught up in their world. And yet, here she was. Her entire family was dead, and she was now the monster she used to run from. There was little point in any of the emotions she usually felt, so now she didn’t feel them anymore. She was a vampire, she may as well own it. Wiping the blood from her lips, Cami turned around with the thud of the now lifeless body hitting the ground. “You’re hardly here to lecture me, so what do you want? You’re welcome to join, of course.”

No, she didn’t, but Hope wasn’t about to let her give that as an answer. “I don’t think we get to pick and choose in this family,” Hope offered up, shaking her head. “Besides, I’d rather have YOU help me than any of the others.      “It’s a new fashion trend.” Nick said with a wince as he sat down on the dining chair, holding his arm still. The gash along it stung, but all things considered, it wasn’t that bad. He glanced at Leah as he tried to hide the injury from his gaze ( he likely failed and he knew that, but it was the thought that counted ) “Got ambushed by a mutt.” Wanted to take out Antonio Sorrentino’s son. Clayton Danvers best friend. Hurt the pack, take their weakest link, the soft . Nick gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. FUCK THEM. While the mutt was distracted, ranting about how stupid Nick was, and how it wasn’t even a challenge - Nick had FINISHED HIM OFF. “Could you grab me Jeremy’s medical kit? It’s in the bottom draw of that cupboard....”

       elijah's gaze rested thoughtfully on his mother as she turned to leave to the upper level, leaving the scenery of the ball. and just like esther, elijah also turned to leave, making his way towards the crowd. admittedly, he's doesn't trust peace and his mother's forgiving nature, especially not after what niklaus has done. and while it sadly didn't surprise elijah that rebekah and kol fell for it, it surprised him that his paranoid brother didn't show any doubt at all although there were plenty of reasons. first and foremost esther, of course, but also the presence of his youngest sister leah whom elijah hadn't seen or heard of in the past three centuries.

      by the look of it, she wasn't here voluntarily which only increased his bad feeling that there's a specific reason of why esther wanted to host this ball.

      "there's is something afoot..," elijah stated when he finally reached his youngest sister and handed her a champagne flute. he'd prefer to have a different topic of conversation (and ask her how she's doing, that he misses her) but elijah had a feeling his efforts are going to be pointless. "she wanted to meet elena, the doppelgänger," he added because he wasn't sure if leah knew who elena was, "in private. has she told you anything, by chance, when she contacted you?"

        The last vampire falls, leaving Elijah to survey the scene ( anything to avoid looking at the werewolf ) and take his handkerchief from his pocket and wipes the blood off of his hand. “They won’t bother you anymore.” Attacking Karl because they knew of his connection to Elijah - it was almost HILARIOUS as Karl himself didn’t even know of the connection. ( he’ll have to take precautions, sort out something so no other vampires will stumble upon karl. ) Finally, he turned to look at him. “I’ll make sure no one else makes the same MISTAKE that they did.” he says as he takes a step closer ( he has to leave now. ) ( the longer he stays the longer it hurts ) ( he wants to kiss him so badly ) “Are you sure you are alright?”

          𝐈𝐅  𝐘𝐔𝐋𝐈  𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍’𝐓  the  person  she  was,  she  might  consider  the  constant  flower  exchanges  between  her  and  leah  to  mean  something  more.  but  the  two  of  them  were  far  too  interested  in  poisons,  which  meant  they  were  likely  COLLUDING  more  than  anything.  the  young  alkemi  ducked  through  the  hallways  of  the  little  palace,  until  she  finally  made  it  to  leah’s  room,  flowers  held  behind  her  back  as  she  knocks.      “leah,  i’ve  got  to  show  you  something!”      she  calls,  grin  on  her  face.      “c’mon,  open  up,  you’re  gonna  like  this.”

Being quite literally back from the dead was.. surreal to say the least. Although, she should have been used to it. Then again, after dying for the first time she knew in the back of her compelled mind that she would come back because of the vampire blood in her system. That wasn’t the case this time. Cami made her peace with dying right up until it was time, until the terrifying fear of taking her last breath set in. Not that anyone other than Klaus knew that she was scared, which was a good thing. Brave was good, at least as a front. While there were so many other things she could be doing at that exact moment, for some reason she decided on going to what was the only thing she had called home in New Orleans, her apartment. It was only when she got there, that Cami realized she had no way of getting into the place. Apparently, seeing your dead friend was enough to make her next door neighbor scream. Thankfully compulsion came in handy, but even as she looked around the empty apartment, she felt watched. She could NOT have any more people trying to kill her all over again. The shadow at the window gave it away, and Camille couldn’t have been more relieved when she opened up the window to see her cat. “Whiskey, you scared the shit out of m-” It probably wasn’t very vampire-like of her to jump out of her skin like that, or to not expect someone else to be there. “..Leah? What are you doing here?”
