(F1 x Reader | Lando Norris AU | Heartbreak + Second Chances)
Title: Before the Sun Sets Down
Chapter 1: The Color of Silence
Some tragedies arrive with sirens and shattered glass. Others happen beneath a perfect sky.
Five years ago, Lando Norris had everything he ever dreamed of. A thriving career, a loving wife, and a little boy whose laughter filled every corner of their Monaco home. Their days were ordinary in the best possible way; morning cuddles, shared meals, and quiet promises about a future they thought was guaranteed.
Then, in a single moment, their world disappeared.
Their son was gone.
The search stretched across cities and countries. Hope became exhaustion. Exhaustion became grief. And grief slowly transformed into something far more dangerous, a silence so deep it swallowed everything it touched.
As months turned into years, the loss of one child became the loss of a marriage, a home, and the life they once built together.
Lando never stopped searching.
(Y/n) never stopped hurting.
And somewhere between the questions that were never answered and the memories that refused to fade, two people who once loved each other became strangers.
——————————————— 💬 “We lost him, and now we’re losing ourselves.” ———————————————
Some wounds never heal.
Some people never stop waiting.
And sometimes, even after everything has fallen apart, a small part of your heart still wonders what would happen if the missing pieces ever found their way home.
📖 A story of unimaginable loss, enduring hope, and the love that lingers long after goodbye.
📝 Note from the Author: Hey, my dear Alarwynnites 🧡🖤
THIS IS IT!!!!
It's finally here. The story has been proofread already... I think (T_T). To be fair, there is always the possibility that I missed a typo, a repeated word, a grammatical mistake, or my eyes simply decided to betray me after staring at the same document for hours. So if you spot anything, no you didn't. We are all collectively blind HAHAHAHAHA.
Jokes aside, this story is probably one of the heavier ones I've worked on recently. Like it deals with grief, loss, and the kind of heartbreak that doesn't simply disappear with time. Please take care of yourselves while reading.
I honestly don't know if I was emotionally prepared to write Chapter 1, because even while proofreading it, I kept sitting there thinking, "Wow. They are NOT okay." .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·. {{{(>_<)}}}
As always, thank you so much (~ ̄▽ ̄)~ for continuing to support my stories despite my random disappearances due to university life. Your comments, likes, reblogs, and even silent reads mean more to me than you know. Every single one of you helps keep these stories alive.
I hope you'll give Before the Sun Sets Down a chance and join me on this journey. Fair warning though: we are starting with emotional damage.
Love you all, always 🧡🖤
