That marine layer in Salinas that I was so happy about totally abandoned me and I was in a sweaty unproductive mess today. Well. When sweltering in Salinas, eat ceviche. #ceviche #tacos #salinas #lostlui (at La Costa Taqueria)
I'm loving salinas life. This was the reason my drive from salinas to the Bay Area was delayed. Got stuck in a traffic jam and realized it was a spare rib fundraiser for local Veterans Day parade. Decided to turn the traffic jam into a detour and had spare ribs the size of half my torso along with some beans with huge chunks of pork shoulder in them... and happily was shown their wood supply of oak and cherry wood. I am a happy bbq'er. #salinas #lostlui (at Salinas Farmers Market)
Goodbyes are difficult. Doing it without a caffeine headache makes it slightly easier... only slightly. #dnd #lostlui (at Kuppi Coffee Company)
After a full few hours at Central Park and the met, we went on a food pilgrimage to two of the three Asian chefs that define my dark side: David Chang's restaurant momofuku ssam and milk bar and Eddie Huang's baohaus. Momofuku Ssam and milk bar were amazing. However, we were so full after momofuku and milk bar that we just took a picture outside of baohaus :). Sorry eddy. #lostlui #dnd #momofukussam #boahaus (If you're wondering: David Chang= my inner overachiever; Eddie Huang= my inner rebel; Roy Choi = my inner philosopher about nothing important who always sounds high) (If you're wondering about #lostlui: it's just my hashtag for when I travel. And it alliterates. I'm hardly lost. Google maps guides me always :) ) (at Momofuku Ssam Bar)
