Perhaps she had been bested. Perhaps she had brought it upon herself.         P e r h a p s  the vastness she felt fast approaching was merely a solidified         self-loathing that had been resurrected by the predecessor of doubt. There was an         emptiness in her eyes that mirrored the vacuity of a growing chasm. There was an         emptiness within her soul.

Lately he'd been seeing a new girl around town, and he was curious. He was curious about here, because in a town like Beacon Hills, there was seldom anyone new who showed up. It was why Isaac was keeping an eye on her. At least in his mind, even if he was kind of stalking her, just a little bit. He wanted to make sure that she wasn't someone dangerous before he introduced himself. It was why it took him three days before he introduced himself, when he saw her at the coffee shop he was a regular at.
