Yiy! Yours are a lot worse than mine :) My problem is that one eye is about half the other, so that causes a lot of problems :P (one is -8, the other is -3.5). Have you tried ordering online? I get mine from Zenni optical now. Much cheaper.

I have tried other places like Walmart, but for years we’ve been going to a local ophthalmologist who shares space with an optometrist, Both are excellent, kind, patient, trustworthy, and don’t rip you off. I know the frames I get will handle my prescription (smaller is better,) look good on me, and won’t be the most expensive. If a pad falls off or the hinges just won’t stay tightened, the optician fixes them for free. 

All 3 of us need glasses, they know us, and we were never chastised for not going in as often as recommended because even with insurance, it’s expensive. The ophthalmologist is a kind, elderly man who’s been in practice for decades. He’s retiring next month and doesn’t know who will take his place, which makes me sad. He understands my nervousness, how when you find a health care provider you trust, it’s scary to switch. He said if I don’t like the new person, to keep looking until I find one I do. :)
