Today I'm wearing my canvas elastic waist pants (planning on releasing this pattern next)! I whipped these up a few days before I packed away my sewing studio this summer. I'm so glad I rushed to finish this pattern before moving. These pants and my overalls have been my favorite most-worn items! And if you're wondering, I haven't forgotten about the overalls pattern. I've been testing the pair I made for months and I have a few things I want to tweak before working on the final pattern. BUT, I hope to get those finished up soon after these elastic waist pants are released. Anyway, these pants are a dream to wear and a quick sew (always a bonus). They're the same pants as the linen pants/shorts I posted earlier (except I sized down in these). I like that there is only one pocket in the back. Did you know jeans and work pants used to be made with only one back pocket? When you think about it, how often do you actually use both back pockets? I know I only ever use one myself. These also have no side seams, just like the #persephonepants Although these were drafted from scratch, so they do fit differently than the Persephone pants. However, the silhouette is very much alike. Anyway, I hope you are as excited about these pants/shorts as much as I am! I will do my best to get this pattern out to you as soon as I can!
