“    i   would    suggest    that    you    do    the    same    until    your    lawyer    arrives.    every    word    you    speak    is    something    that    can    be    used    against    you    in    court.    ”    she    not    only    knew    this    as    a    fact    ,    but    also    didn’t    want    to    speak    with    someone    she    knew    was    guilty.    laurel    refused    to    be    associated    with    someone    who    stole    for    a    living.
