AHHHHH lexa how are we feeling!!!! i'm in such a shadow and bone hangover bc i binged it all and i'm like🧍‍♀️what now.... the fact that we'll have to wait so long for a potential season 2 😭 anywhoo! the crows absolutely outsold i love them and i kept tearing up whenever we got to see jesper and inejs friendship it was so good

I'M FEELING LIKE I NEED TO RE-WATCH SOON 🥺 it was soooo good, it honestly exceeded my expectations! i barely felt like the passage of episodes, it was so action packed i felt engaged the whole time i was watching and then i got to the end and was like 'wait THAT'S IT???'

before the release i was anxious about the crows' screen time, i thought perhaps they wouldn't get the exposition they deserved 👀 im so glad however they managed to intertwine the plotlines in a balanced way and i got to see my crow babies in all their glory: thank god for the FLAWLESS cast, i felt like they were very true to the books and quite literally they were brought to life in a wonderful way (i genuinely can't imagine anyone else playing the crows now) ❤️

but holy fuuuuck we got so many goodies (like KANEJ ???? i was NOT expecting any romantic/shippy vibes before soc era), the relationships jesper has with kaz and inej (jesper's portrayal was a+++ kit did an amazing job, he truly was the glue that keeps our crow trio together) and HELNIK??? (the actors truly had chemistry, i liked them waaay more than in the books) and im so excited for whatever they have planned next (let's hope they cast wylan (my babie!!) and nikolai soon)

also i never knew how much i needed to see jesper and kaz with a tiny goat 🐐 til yesterday, bless THAT little gem 🥰

also kaz vs the darkling?? insane and amazing and i could see the twist coming bc you know, it's kaz my amazing plotting genius 👏

the whole alina-mal-darkling trio was also done well, it felt very epic and i liked they didn't make the darkling a bland villain (yes he loves power but there's a REASON for it, can't blame him tbh i was so rooting for him back in the flashback episode) and WOW WHAT WAS THAT FINALE?? did he get an upgrade or...

SCREAM we are so impatient bc the show comes out in like two weeks but im sitting here like is alina gonna be the new kuwei ? was that conversation w kaz and inej out of context ? are they gonna know what’s going on in ravka at all ? are they gonna include jesper’s unrequited love for kaz ? I have to know!

ok! so i actually didn't hate the second book like some ppl did. but i am def liking the 3rd the most so far! yess nikolai is great and he was one of the more enjoyable aspects of that book. bc i felt like a lot of the other characters were a bit off/not as likable i guess? but i kinda just sped through it and the last little bit of book 2 heading into book 3 is !!!!!!! much better. it also helped me bc since we already have a cast for the show i just picture them when i read and that's been rly fun :) also same!!! i read SOC a long time ago and then just .... didn't ever get around to reading the grisha trilogy bc it was like the 1st thing she wrote so it obviously wasn't as developed as SOC. but the show was good motivation for me to finally start them haha!

omg okay def a mixed review kind of book I just hope it’s not too slow because then it’ll definitely lose me!!! BUT SAME I read soc first but reading these books im like ohhhh THATS what they meant in soc because I guess I never really bothered to understand what grishas were too much in soc sjsjsksk too focused on the heist 💔 so I feel like rereading soc after this will be so fun
