everyone say WE LOVE YOU LOUIS ❤️🙌🏼❤️🙌🏼
Louis in Iceland gets me every time
By the way one direction inspired an entire generation of young teens to become artists, readers, writers, musicians, animators. 14 year olds were hacking into security cameras. Do you genuinely understand how hard that is? I literally have a tech degree and i still view hacking as too complicated. 14 year olds were in literal stem to watch one direction buy a bottle of shampoo. They have genuinely altered the courses of so many people's lives in terms of careers and long term hobbies. It was never just the music. I literally started reading by reading fanfiction. I am now a very active reader of many genres. I got a fucking tech degree because i wanted to see how it was done. Like its so unbelievably crazy. And they were massively bullied by the media and the rest of the world. They were ridiculed by the music industry. They were the biggest boyband on the planet and the only one that went as global as they did and they had them parody their own song 3 seperate times. They were never nominated for grammys as a group. They were genuinely never taken seriously and they changed the courses of young womens lives.
Imposter MV - Cakegate mention
based on my friends’ comments — and now that i’ve actually watched the mv — it’s pretty clear (in my opinion) that the man in the narrative is “imposter louis,” while louis’ cameo represents the real louis. happiness and authenticity are split between the two.
one thing a friend pointed out that really stuck with me was the cake on the mother-in-law’s face, which immediately brings up cakegate. and honestly, the expression and the imagery line up.
cakegate was such a visible, public moment — almost the symbolic “end” of louis’ openly queer presentation — and here it feels like that same visual language is being echoed on purpose. it reads as a full-circle moment: either forcing a confrontation with what was taken from him back then, or actively reclaiming it by reusing the same imagery under his own control.
his facial expressions don’t read as annoyance at all — to me, they read as disappointment. it looks more like he’s reflecting, thinking back on what happened, and feeling the weight of how that single moment played a role in suppressing his true self. this is someone truly realizing the significance of something long after the fact.
Harry performing Girl Crush was of course, to me, incredibly loud. But for the fans who inexplicably believe Harry to be a Straight?!Man?! I can concede some weak plausible deniability in saying it was simply a song that he liked, that he's not insecure enough to change the pronouns in order to perform, that there was no deeper meaning there. I don't agree, but whatever, I would agree to disagree with the antis about the weight of that song choice.
But Louis... WROTE a song where he sung "I want to lay where she lays". In the same song where he sung "headlines that I can't stand" and "you only get half of the story". His FIRST promotional single. With a lyric video that highlighted LGBT+ causes. Don't even get me started on the symbolic imagery in that same video. A song that he promoted by saying it was his first chance to be as honest, as vulnerable and as real with his fans with his music as he could be.
That line simply does not leave the writers room unless the implication is exactly what it sounds like - not in the context of the narrative surrounding Louis then and now. Nobody will ever convince me that a man plagued by gay rumours, who hated the speculation into his identity, would sing that in a song explicitly meant to provide a window into said identity.
Removing the Larry narrative from the picture altogether and without that added context, I would still listen to Louis' music as a queer woman myself, and go "oh?..." and pick up what he's been trying to tell us. No straight man is writing Just Like You, All This Time, Only The Brave or Copy of a Copy of a Copy and just accidently penning some of the most devastating queercoded lyrics in my library to date. That's propaganda I will NOT be falling for, not ever.
I’m like 99% sure that Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry stayed away from each other in public on purpose today. They all know what would happen if the four of them stood next to each other and a picture of all four of them was taken. People were calling it “the reunion we never wished for” even before we knew there’d be a funeral attended by all of them. Would you call your grandpa’s funeral a “family reunion”? Probably not. This was never a “1D reunion”, always Liam’s funeral. So, by staying away from each other, they could make sure no one could get the picture everyone wanted. Which is so smart to protect themselves and Liam’s funeral. Because today wasn’t about One Direction. It was about Liam, who was part of Oke Direction, but so much more. A father. A son. A brother. A boyfriend. A friend. This was the best they could do for everyone including Liam. Not be seen together in public at his funeral to keep this about him. Imagine if paps got the high selling picture they wanted today - this isn’t something anyone could possibly wanted to be the lasting thing of this.

"Just fuck off Louis” he squirmed at the mention of his name, yet Harry continued abject fury now etched on his face “You’re acting like it was all one sided but you forget that I was actually there and I had the marks and bruises for weeks after. You can pretend you faked it or didn’t enjoy it all you like, but no-one comes three fucking times whilst moaning and whimpering like that unless they are into it MATE!”
“Yeah well what can I say - any hole will do!” Louis’s eyes betrayed him staying focused on the road ahead refusing to look in the rear view mirror, his knuckles now white from gripping the steering wheel so hard. He couldn’t back down now, not when Harry was being so vicious.

Harry and Louis are both Police Officers who despise each other after sleeping together months ago. Every interaction is a competition of escalating hate filled insults until one night when they end up handcuffed together abandoned in a deserted warehouse with no means of escape. Finally forced to face the truth of why things went so badly wrong and if can they reconcile on what might be the last night of their lives.
