Unpopular opinion: the “character that all the mc’s bully” trope gets really old really fast and makes the mc’s look like jerks

Agree 100%. This is really one of my only issues with Parks & Rec. I love that show and its characters but the way they all treat Jerry/Gary (even Leslie, who’s supposed to be the nice one) genuinely makes me sad. He’s so nice, he doesn’t deserve it!!

But if the bullied character is an antagonist, I’ll make an exception.
