Oh how I miss going to the cinemas and film festivals! It's been two weeks since I last saw a film on the big screen and even that was a private screening. It was my 265th screening at the cinemas in 2020 and cos we already know that the theaters will be closen until next year, it probably was the last one for this year The cinemas were forced (yet again) to close their doors 3 weeks ago in Helsinki (and various other cities in Finland) while restaurants and shopping centers stay open... The movie theater industry has lost approximately 53 million euros in Finland this year. The distributors, cinemas and festivals have been taking great financial risks by bringing new (and old) films to the theaters this year and making sure that the cinema going experience is safe.
