But the blast required to destroy a building that massive would have had severe effects outside of the building, likely damaging a good deal of high town residents in the surrounding area with the debris, if not the blast directly.
Well there’s the matter of the debris that’s shown to scatter after the blast. There is a legitimate chance that there was collateral damage, including deaths.
I suppose that's fair.
I'd still estimate, based on time of day, it's still less than 100.
Which is a good number of people.
But still seems to be less than the number of mages in the Circle? (Not just the ones we fight with in the Gallows, but the ones out on the street too. The ones you ally with and stuff.)

Yea i feel you on that. Tho, Fenris has a lot of disdain for the Dalish and also bitterness towards city elves. I feel his unresolved issues get in the way of finding common ground with other elves, because they have not suffered as much as he has.
There are other formerly enslaved elves.
(Imagine he falls in love with Fiona? Okay. No. They'd be terrible angry babies together. It'd be beautiful but also VERY dangerous. Like, they'd get into a fight one night that'd end up getting physical about the fact that Fiona is a mage...)
