Hello my Anon and what I think happened that lead to “louis arrest” is what I put in my tags: a stunt gone wrong; unless there was a secondary agenda.
What I mean: everything, from the matching sweatpants and jackets of Elounor (Angels defend us! which normal couple is dressed like this? if you see them in the street you’ll thik they got out of the set of “the dumb and the dumber”....) till the photo of Louis from the previous day and Harry’s presheduled “walk” in London, show that this was a planned stunt, a ho stroll if you like, of the “happy couple” getting papped, thus reintroducing the Elk into the fandom.
What happened was that Louis was provoked by the pap (either verbally or with the pap invading his personal space) and as they were running, they both tripped, o at least this is what I got from the video.
About the Elk now, and why I wrote about the existence of a possible ‘secondary agenda”: People tend to like persons who have been “mistreated” or “abused” by groups of people (like fans etc); 1DHQ has a long standing tradition of making use of this notion, presenting the “gfs” (cough, beards, cough) as victims of those rabid dogs known as “directioners”. So either 1DHQ got extremely lucky with a fan (who I’m not sure is even a fan as she can’t recognise Louis and describes him as “the guy” and something similar for thhe Elk), or this “fan” was specifically sent in for this: to goad Louis and generate bad publicity for him.
As for the Elk becoming likable, let me remind you what happened with the “Ironing Board”, (also known as gigi) when she was attacked (or “attacked” cause my opinion is that this was set up as this guy is infamous for attacking celebrities -JFC! Gigi a celebrity! what’s next? the Four Horsemen? Bring them on!- but is never arrested or even handed to the police by their own private security). People rushed to her defence, and she became a darling for defending herself (naturally! everyone has -or rather should have- the right to defend themselves, But being Gigi she couldn’t keep her mouth shut, so once again she want back into this fandom’s shitlist!
My Nonnie, I think it’s the same with the Elk; they presented hr as the innocent victim which got her brownie points and had people rally to her defence. Now how long her luck will last? who knows!
And Louis got arrest (IMO) because the pap and the girl are not complete morons and they wanted to fleece some money out of Louis (cause I expect a very nice settlement for these two), so they overplayed the incident
