7: Jealousy
My beloved is constantly growing despite this stunted environment. He has developed a shy confidence, no longer afraid to approach me and talk about whatever is on his mind. My heart is growing, swelling, every time I see him.
He has grown so much that he has befriended some of those insignificant humans from his year. This, I am not proud of. They are unbelievable irritable, with their childish giggles and empty words. His heart will be broken and tossed aside if he continues this way. He is lucky he seems to only talk to them in classes; he is not attached.
He will not find what he needs with those creatures. He does not deserve their judgement.
Oh, but today, today was most horrifying.
A girl approached him. A snivelling, disturbing girl.
You see, we were having our time in the library, studying, talking, clearly enjoying our time together. She approached us, where I recognised her as one of my beloved’s new ‘clique’. She told him she wanted to talk to him. I do not know what transposed, but I made sure she knew of my position in his life.
He returned, considerable apprehensive. I asked once, because of this. For the first time, he merely told me he did not want to talk about it.
Disappointing.
I will have to resort to other measures to discover what transposed between them if he does not comply within the next week or so. Perhaps I will have to turn to the girl, force the knowledge out of her. The only issue I see with this method is the truth. I do not trust her.
He will tell me, I am positive. Otherwise, well, I suppose he will have to go on without another leech in his life.
I told you I would do anything for you, darling.
