Lounge Review. Aspire at EDI. Next to Air Canada's gate which is handy, this lounge is utilitarian. Lots of seating with table tops, lounge seating, and high tops. Looks out over the short term parking lot at Edinburgh Airport, which affords some people watching opportunities but no flight line views. Decent self serve bar with beer, wine, and spirits. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs, pork sausages, Canadian bacon, beans, and tomatoes. English in other words. Lounge Quickie at GLA Upperdeck. Popped in briefly to sample this currently under renovation facility. Pleasant surprise. Tended bar with a decent cab. Not a wide selection but they had taps. Good soup, sammies, cheese and crackers, lots of sweets (it's Scotland after all). Airy and bright with a view if the flight line. Comfortable seating and a good range of options. Any scotch eggs? Special Edition Lounge Review: Air Canada Maple Leaf International Lounge. Traveling with #2vets and #beautifulcroation. This is one of the better lounges, and most certainly stands atop the Canadian scene. Terminal 1 grand vaulted ceilings show well. Light and airy, with a white noise level that nicely surrounds but rarely intrudes. Food is better than the AC ravioli period, but has stagnated. Decent lunch but mac'n cheese can be too heavy for long haul. Indeed, carbs dominate the lunch menu. Dinner is protein richer, and more flavourful. Very good business centre and a meeting room that can be reserved. Although busy (in the evenings of course) it is large enough and with plenty of nooks, quiet areas, eating areas, and open sitting areas that you don't notice (much). Rating of four eggs. 🥚🥚🥚🥚 Egg situation? Same as transborder and domestic lounges in T1: hard boiled. This is it. Number eight. Lucky number eight. Turkish Business Class and Star Alliance Gold lounge at IST. Istanbul. This is a three floor wonder of the lounge world, and has everything a traveler would or could ever need. Let's start our review: dedicated passport control. No fuss security line and you're in. Busy but quiet; bright and beautiful. Chef staffed serving stations throughout, booze carts everywhere, golf range, slot car track, massages, pizza oven, great wifi, and on and on. I know what you're thinking, what is the egg situation? Well, this is where eggs go when they die. Egg Heaven. Squeezing in Number Six: SAS Gold Domestic Lounge T4 at ARN. Crowded, utilitarian, and claustrophobic (low ceiling). On the positive side it is bright. Full stop.
