I think one of the differences between Jacob and Sam is Jacob, as a person and as an actor, is way more openly pro loustat, he even said his favorite episodes is the one where loustat is very heavy in it. Sam mentions an episode where it's more than likely going to be a lesmand scene. .. he said he's very excited for people to see it when asked by the journalist what they're looking forward to.
Well, they like those parings for different reasons. Sam has said Lesmand is the actual “sibling” like situation. And while I fully expect a sex scene, there is no great love affair. Sam says that people will really like S4 because it revolves something for the audience. Is it Lelio? Is it the trial? I wonder what that is that makes him say “the audience will go that’s exactly what I needed but didn’t know I needed it.”
As for Jacob, he is us 🙌 He knows most of us are Loustaters and crave some resolution that points to them getting back together. Given this conversation about race (again) I have really craved some resolution that Lestat really understood and respected Louis and Claudia and wasn’t as clueless and unsympathetic as Louis tale seemed. Maybe it would heal something in the fandom.
I'm pretty neutral and I'm seeing a change in Sam's image; we'll probably have an official photo of the couple soon, which to me is genuine but with a touch of PR, of course.
My advice is just to focus on the show and enjoy Loustat, and try not to get too involved in Jam and this "change"—that will only affect your enjoyment of the show.

I agree, and I don't think he's even doing much of that. We have to remember their connection is incredibly strong, important, and has clearly been a priority for years.
In the bigger picture, JA has always had more to lose, and he isn't changing. We also know Sam appears to be the more protective one, so it's hard to imagine him putting their connection aside just to support a PR image. If that were the goal, they would be handling things very differently.
They're both outspoken and have some control over their public image. If they wanted people to back off, they could easily create more distance or tension in their interactions, but they haven't from April through the other day.
For me, the biggest confirmation is that they both engaged with some of the dirtiest Loustat thirst tweets while fully aware that many fans see them as mirrors of each other. Add in Sam openly mentioning their cuck chair fascination, and it doesn't feel like they're trying to discourage that kind of speculation.
lol My opinion? They are fine with us shipping them, but it shouldn’t affect them.

I was talking about sex scenes with women, and honestly, I still don't find them that extraordinary. Explicit sex scenes are something else—full-frontal nudity, visible thrusting, and similar elements. Even oral sex isn't all that extreme to me. I actually found the Loustat scene in Episode 1 much more intimate, and it made me blush far more than what I've seen so far.
