"i'm looking for something festive. not for anyone in particular, just a look. would you mind watching me try some of these on and give your opinion?" he asked. maybe others would find asking such a thing to be embarrassing or awkward, but jax was proud of how he looked and most people were very helpful. also it very much helped that the other shopping next to him was incredibly hot.

"okay, you cannot tell anyone but..." snow let go of their hands and shut the door behind them. she reached under the couch to grab the cat. she even grabbed their paw to wave hi. "she keeps coming over and i kept feeding her scraps. so i just let her in. and she's so little! look at her! so she's been bunking with me!" snow had a soft spot for little animals with no place to go. "our landlord doesn't let us have pets so she has to hide. but look at her! how could you not just love her?"

“For once?” It’s not a statement, there is a question marked clear and firm the end of the statement. “When have I ever lied to you before and why the fuck would I start now?” She wasn’t asking, she was demanding. Eyes squinted, anger poised and ready, reflecting in dark eyes.

wren looked over at the booth next to them. sometimes they liked to see what the patrons of the club were doing- make sure they were enjoying themselves. this one seemed...nervous? scared? maybe it was just their face. "hey. don't look so nervous over there," wren leaned over the booth breaker.
