Guren’s kindness towards Mahiru will always serve as a testament to his character. Despite all the things she did in the past, he chases after his childhood love like a kite in the sky. Even in her final moments, he held her… just like when they were 16.
Their deaths act as a testament to their characters too. Guren died violently, because he believed he deserves it. despite his kindness, he met a brutal end. He died just like Mahiru did that day. Mahiru died peacefully. she was the one who was violent—a victim of circumstance who clawed her way out. Finally, she could rest knowing that Guren would be by her side for eternity. Perhaps, Guren too is content knowing this.
Nancy Spungen and Sid Vicious pose in their apartment in Pindock Mews, London, on August 14, 1978.
It was likely a party to celebrate their impending departure from England.
