it's so tragic that i work in an industry where hiring managers commonly give a shit about social media skills because i'm out here trying to market myself and all i really have in that regard is like. well. did i do the absolute bare minimum in maintaining a professional twitter and now bluesky account. yes. do i have literally no presence on tiktok, the platform The Kids actually care about. also yes. meanwhile what i do have is several moderately successful posts (AND an impressive number of followers who last updated 10+ years ago) on tumblr dot com, a website largely regarded as dead and/or inhabited solely by gay people of questionable media inclinations. which sadly is not something these people want to see on my resume
