Okay but it makes me so sad. Because he has a human psyche inside of him - he experiences the uncanny valley effect in relation to his own appearance as much as anyone else, which would compound anybody’s body dysphoria. He’s caught himself laughing in a mirror and thought “oh Christ what’s wrong with it” before, then realized what he was looking at. It’s not a great feeling.
Also, a hc I’m going to incorporate for the one I got for his face: all of those animation oddities that give you the uncanny valley effect when watching NPC’s talk in-game, which you know is just an engine limitation and not actually what they look like on a meta level? Nick’s facial animation and gesticulation are actually like that. Pretty darn good, but still just not quite there.
