What does love see in me to spurn me in ways golden to oil my thoughts brash to leave all that I am to be ravaged upon rocks as the seas come for me within my dwindling peace
I loved from the beginning to some end just to pronounce the word and begin again
My heart spins deeper with every new revolution
And do I mend a soul too old to remember the hurt of the spoiled and the devastation reeked upon soil beholden to the golden rays of my last blissful days
Love takes hold of me to lead me through distance trees swaying before the last remark and my face just got hot as I moistened the time so it slipped seamlessly into the vine of the divine so that the bloom has room to be true as it takes root to bask within it's own hue
What is due
This time I was wise and the milk of lip stiff never rested upon my willow wisp
Still its mark is there within long silken hairs begging to be curled feeling absurd
As juices flow from trees overloaded
And if my bloom was misconstrued within actions due how did love settle through to become new

What inspired your Supernova story?
As is the case with a lot of my writing, the core idea of this fic came to me while listening to music. 'Extraordinary' by Idina Menzel (give it a listen!) was a huge inspiration. I didn't even think I would be able to participate because it was two days before first drafts were due and I'd started many ideas, but nothing was working. Then, Extraordinary came on and I spent ten hours talking out ideas with Kez because my brain was basically like !!!!! and there were just so many ideas coming to me. And then, boom! A lack of fics that I could relate to (the way relationships work, identity, labeling...) also inspired me to write this.

What is love? hmmpp...
Eyes Won't Close
Bottles in the gutter and rain-webbed windows And eyes that won't close. Tens of hundreds of nights with rain and sirens And one flat pillow, And eyes that won't close. Coffee on 2pm mornings, so near peace, And night comes on slow, And eyes won't stay closed. Brandy in the cold, Warm in the raw way Missing something feels almost holy sometimes. Love undefined buried years behind young eyes That still refuse to close.
