hajime loves when u say his name, more than baby or honey or any nickname. it just makes him feel so proud when you call him like that, like he’s yours
don’t get him wrong, iwaizumi loves all of the nicknames you’ve given him, some more so than others, but nothing compares to you saying his name. he’s had to put up with oikawa incessantly calling him iwa-chan for most of his life while others in his life simply refer to him as iwaizumi.
iwaizumi didn’t think he could like his name as much as it sounded coming from your mouth. it’s nothing extraordinary, really. it’s just his given name, but something about the way you say it has his chest feeling warm. maybe it’s the way your lips curl up or the fondness in your voice when you say hajime, honestly it doesn’t really matter to iwaizumi. as long as you call him yours, he’s happy.
