Kokichi had been searching for Gonta all over the school, but for some reason it was terribly hard to find the peaceful giant despite his height. He had figured that the other was probably still out on his search for bugs and despite hating them more than anything else in the world, he sometimes found himself stunned by the other’s dedication and almost started rooting for him. Almost.
“Gonta, I’ve been looking for you all over the courtyard, stop being so damn hard to find!! I told you you’re not gonna find any bugs out here!”, he scolded once he finally discovered the bug enthusiast midst the bright green of trees and growth.
After having come this far, he decided that it was to time to go big or go home, so once the entomologist lay eyes on him he held the item in his hands towards him for examination. It was the gourd insect trap, one of the few items in the academy that you couldn’t win with the Monomono Machine. All the feigned anger entirely disappeared from his features, as he calmly gazed up to the other.
“I won this trash in the casino, so I figured I’d give it to you before I toss it somewhere else. The description said you can put bugs in there and listen to the cre- uh, lovely sounds they make!”
It was a lie, he had spent a thousand mono coins on buying this thing, but that wasn’t a detail he’d share. Besides, there was another favour he wanted to ask of him, but that would come later.
