Mimicking the vultures

I would burn and break

Locked as we push and pull

Attracted to you by the forces of the universe

see the lights within the sky

feel your heart rise from the dark

when I appear and shift the tides

The moment he saw his phone light up with a text from Madison, Orson practically leapt out of the chair he was sitting in pretending to read scripts. Quickly he leapt into action calling her so she could get away from her date. Just in case the guy was nearby he made sure to tap into his more dramatic delivery. "This is shit show Madison. An absolute fucking mess and I need you to help me with it. I don't trust anyone like you, please." He begged feeling the true emotion of it. Although there was no emergency he felt like it was enough to warrant her a free pass to leave the date. When they ended the call he set her a text insisting that she come to his place. Partially so she had more proof that there was an urgent manner at hand and also because he wanted to know more about what happened on the date. When he heard her at the door he smirked as he opened the door, "I made up an emergency. I ordered far too much takeout. Made sure I got a couple of your favorites, come on in. Tell me about what made you need me to rescue you?"

"read your latest article. good work." wesley still struggled to know how to compliment grace and didn't mention how he had subscribed to her magazine so that he always received a hard copy. "you've really started to make a name for yourself in this town. city." they were no longer being suffocated by the boundaries of a small town so he had to correct himself, and it still shook him to the core that they had somehow wound up in the same place regardless. meeting up with her regularly only felt right, but yet, them being friends only still was a strange concept to try and accept. "think you'll be writing for vogue soon? or are you aiming for something like the new york times?"

"So, what do you say? We could probably make a lot of money that way and we know it won't get messy with feelings or whatever." They were good friends, had been best friends for so long that Avery knew it was safe, at least she thought so. Sure, there was a desire for them deep inside of her and always had been, but that was because they were sexy and nothing else. This was one way to get them out of her system and make money.

the party they had hosted was simmering down, and of course anna was sneaking into her room. they'd been having more parties because anna could never admit to her feelings sober, and deep down only did it for the end of the parties. never drinking enough to get blackout, but enough to feel a little tipsy. to brush off this burning desire. "i cleaned up, like, almost every beer bottle but some dude is passed out in my bed so... i thought maybe i could sleep in here," she murmured, biting down on her bottom lip as she crawled onto the bed.
