"oh, i'm not picky. a nice meal, maybe a gift or two..." it had never been in her to shy away from a challenge, whether when flirting or debating or even in casual conversation (she could make anything a competition if she really tried), but there was something about the way tatum's gaze wound around her as if trying to consume her that gave her just a moment's hesitation. "lucky for you, i happen to love a project. and i have excellent taste in wine, access to the best reservation in town⸺my husband owns the building, obviously⸺and absolutely nothing else to do if there's something interesting to unwrap." a little hum left her lips, looking her over. "so. tomorrow night. i'll pick you up at seven. you can show me just how boring you really are."

charlie was more than used to anyone she met having ulterior motives. years ago, charlie possessed the ability to decipher when people orbited her because they sought to gain something. now, her brain was too broken for that. thank god she had tashae to guide her. her instinct was to turn him down, of course. not because she wasn't interested per se, but because regina's knee-jerk reaction had become to avoid deliberate disappointment with the few people she could actually stand to be around (a small list that hughie just barely managed to make the cut for, she convinced herself). but as he moved to slot himself between her knees, there was no mistaking the way gina's cheeks flushed, pupils dilating at the warmth radiating between her thighs due to his presence. still, she hesitated. "....why would you want to submit yourself to the humiliation if i don't like it, hugh?" her lips had curled into a wry smirk, but there was no malice behind it. he must have been confident in his abilities, though, and that piqued her interest. sitting up straighter and bringing their frames closer together, long, almond shaped nails rose to grip his chin thoughtfully. "so, you mean to tell me you would give me a demonstration without expecting anything in return?"

Her breath caught, brown eyes blown wide and staring directly into Natt's darker pools. Deeper, more intense, more expressive than her own gaze -- the director's critiques swirled at the back of her mind, always the scolding voice of a man fueling Dawn's unconscious corrections of self. But Natt's voice was louder. Her words enveloped Dawn and pulled her under, submersing them into... the scene? Or was this just a moment now, shared between the two of them, making her feel as if she was being flayed alive?

"I do," she exhaled, a hand lifting to catch Natt's wrist, squeezing tighter than she intended. I've never wanted anything more, Dawn thought, plush lips closing around the other's thumb, tongue coaxing the digit deeper into her mouth with the barest teasing bite of teeth. A starved hunger bloomed deep in her belly, hot and wanting. Reality and fiction were beginning to blur, weeks of tension and ignored desires unfurling as she stared Natt down, refusing to wilt under her attention. Slowly, almost reluctantly, Dawn withdrew her hand, having the tempting thought to lead it elsewhere, but she only tugged, face turning to skim her costar's cheek. "I get dizzy when I imagine the sounds you'd make under my tongue..." She spoke husky and low, practically nuzzling into the shell of her ear. Dawn's teeth caught her lower lip, hesitating for a fraction of a second before confessing, "I think I might die if I never find out how sweet you taste."

It almost felt like her eyes were getting bigger, going darker. Like some sort of demon was taking hold of her in tandem with the way that Dawn gripped her wrists tighter. She needed to feel that, suddenly needed to feel more desperation. She would pull it all out of the other girl if she could. She'd soak herself in it. Natt watched her with such intensity she was worried she might combust from all of that pressure. Her neck twisted a little, leaning into the warmth of her breath as she heard her words. It riled something up in Natalia, it made her feel something more intense than she had ever felt before. She wasn't sure if she had an attraction to women before that moment, it wasn't something she had ever focused on, but there was a gentle thrum between her thighs that had her itching for something from Dawn. "Fuck," she breathed out, allowing wide eyes to close. Goosebumps scattered along the length of her arms, every sense in her body reacting to the images that her mind had conjured. "but, most importantly, you are not ugly. how many 'top ten hottest' lists have you been on, now??"

with a kicked-puppy-dog-look on his face, deacon looked up to take one of the bottles and half-heartedly took a sip, trying to figure out who he could reach out to if he wanted to look like those beautiful guys that used to be on love island. still, deacon was shrugging his shoulders as if he didn't have an exact count memorized. "thirty-three, but two of those i paid for." well, more like donated to and got put on the list. deacon didn't think he was smart enough to catch onto harry's decision to try to humble him because he could have a much better agent, but hazel seemed to make him believe he could do much more than anyone else thought he could. "i just don't know what i'm supposed to do. harry is the only person that's every believed in me." which might've been insulting, because he knew hazel believed in him, but he was trying to keep the emotions of their fake relationship out of the equation. he was super good at emotionless sex! ...but he wasn't sure if he was having emotionless sex with hazel. "maybe i'm too pretty? like, so pretty that it's ugly. kind of like a pug, but reverse!"

"shit, yeah, yeah. i live a few streets away, walking distance, really. the penthouse on summit, specifically. plenty of ice there. and a stocked bar, god knows i owe you a drink." she laughs. arden begins to turn, but she pauses, a small, teasing smile tugging at her mouth, glancing at him. "but, uh, just so you know, i do have security, incase this is some weird con thing."

a gentle nod was given in response, an attempt at being polite. kel would understand, he thought. kel would get the wrong idea, but he'd understand. "oh, of course. actually..." he reached into his back pocket with his good hand, pulled out his wallet and offered his business card. "doctor adrian adeyemi. pediatrician at cedars ..... in case you want to look me up and know that i am not a con man. or, at least, it's not my day job." he caught up with her, setting his wallet back into his back pocket.

"you—" the dangerous look in cece's eyes catches the words in isadora's throat before she can spit them out. instead, she huffs a breath, trying to find some self-control. maybe the institute was right about it being a necessary skill. "call a spade a spade, yeah? i've never heard you deny being a witch." months... the idea of it shakes isadora a little. she's been searching all this time, and cece never thought to say anything? heat creeps up past her collar, and she tries again to tamp down her panic and irritation. "why did you lie to me?"

"i know all too well how some of your colleagues feel about the type of woman i can be. i was merely protecting myself. can't you understand that?" manipulation was a form of witchcraft, she thought. though, she could do that without the dark power that had grown inside of her since she was a little girl. she didn't often use it for terrible things, but she certainly didn't like people nosing around where their noses didn't belong. "can you forgive me?" a smirk played upon her lips, though she knew the answer was likely a no.
