But this week, that right has been horribly violated. On Monday at 10:30pm a bomb exploded at a concert immediately after it had come to an end. A suicide bomber planned the location and timing very specifically so as to cause the most devastation. He chose to detonate the bomb the minute the singer, Ariana Grande, left the stage and the lights were turned on in order to take advantage of the thousands of people crowding around the exits, and he chose this specific concert, not only because the stadium it was taking place in can hold 21 000 people, but because, of these thousands, the majority were children, teens, and young adults. As of now 22 people have been confirmed dead and more than 64 have been injured. Our hearts ache for those whose lives were ended far too soon, those who are physically and/or psychologically hurt, and those who were close to the victims and/or are currently missing a loved one. Life is a precious miracle that should be honoured, protected, respected, and cherished. Remember the golden rule; treat others as you would like to be treated, regardless of any differences. We are all earthlings, and our beautiful, precious lives matter equally. Please keep Manchester in your thoughts and show compassion and love to those who were involved in any way you can.
