Why does God demand we love Him more than anyone else?
Genesis 22. What do you value more than anything else? Something you own? Your reputation? Your family? Your friends? A dream for your future? Abraham valued Isaac greatly. He waited years for God to him him a son. So how could he even consider giving him up? He could do because - more than anything else - he valued his relationship with God. Everyday we have a choice; to hold on tightly to things or the stuff we feel is important, or let go and trust God. If you had to let go of what you value most (other than your relationship with God), could you?
