Despite the fact that they're older now, and the kids are a bit more independent, and the world is in the best state it's ever been in, some things don't change, and Soren being the last to know about something is one of those things.

In the past, it was because he wasn't the brightest. It's not like he's that much smarter now, but he's much more observant, at least. He's a lot better at picking up on the subtle shifts in Ezran's posture, and the little looks that pass between Callum and Rayla when they're doing that thing they do where it's like they're reading each other's minds, and even Bait's colours are easier to decipher these days--but then Callum says something while they're watching Sara and Jaron spar in the courtyard that tilts the world sideways and makes his eyes go wide.

"Have you ever seen two kids with crushes that obvious?"

Rayla snorts at him. "We were that stupid once," she says, smirking. She pitches her voice up half an octave. "'That's not what I was expecting.' Moon and stars."

Callum snorts back. "So you admit, then, that our anniversary is a day earlier than you pretend it is."

"Callum, we've been married fifteen years--"

"Yeah, and you still get our anniversary wrong--"

Soren rolls his eyes at them then, because it's true that they've been married that long but they still find ways to banter. It's sweet to some extent, but he's been hanging around them for long enough now that, sometimes, it's just gross. He turns his eyes instead to his son and their daughter, and the way Jaron studies Sara's posture with a glint of mischief in his eye.

She shifts. He smirks. He charges and then--

Sara dodges, and Soren catches it: her grin, his hesitance, the flush blooming in both their faces--

"Hold up."

Callum and Rayla fall silent in mid-fake-argument and turn to him with identical raised eyebrows. Soren opens his mouth. Then he shuts it again. Then he jabs a finger at the kids and tries again.

"Is something--? Did I--? Are they--?"

"Cough it up, Soren, you can do it," teases Rayla, and Soren shuts his jaw once more and stares at their kids.

"Are those two a thing?"

"Not yet," laughs Callum. "It's been pretty painful to watch actually, but--"

"For how long?"

Rayla scoffs drily. "Nothing's even happened yet, weren't you listening?"

"But--" Soren takes a breath. When he looks out over the courtyard again, Sara is helping Jaron back onto his feet, and their hands linger, and they're still blushing, and gods, they really do have the most obvious crushes in the world and--

He laughs. "Does this mean we'll get to be bros for real?"

Callum and Rayla blink. Then they laugh too.

"One thing at a time, hey?" says Callum. "They actually have to talk to each other about it first. But I mean." He smirks. "We wouldn't object, would we?"

"Nah," chuckles Rayla. "It's not the worst case scenario, that's for sure."

And Soren grins, because no, it's definitely not.

Is the entire season gonna be a time skip or...?

it seems that a timeskip of one to three years will take place in between season three and season four, so when season four opens, it’ll be a few years post season three!

E - Domestic

OMG DOMESTIC MILEVEN IS MY WEAKNESS. OK, HERE WE GO:

First of all, all Mike EVER wants is a quiet, happy life with El. Like, boy fucking dreams about it.

So when he gets it? It’s the best thing ever.

Living with El is honestly his favorite thing ever. And it’s hers, too. They never have to be apart and there’s no one to make fun of them for being schmoopy and over-the-top in love with each other.

It doesn’t take them long to establish several quiet, adorable routines. Like snuggling on the couch when they both get home after work/school. Or El making Mike coffee in the morning and Mike repaying the favor by making El tea at night. 

They share the household chores pretty equally between the two of them. They take turns cooking because they each have things they’re good at making. 

When one cooks, the other does the dishes. And when it’s El’s turn to do the dishes, Mike often comes up behind El and just wraps his arms around her. El usually has the radio one when she’s doing the dishes, usually tuned to an oldies station, and sometimes Mike pulls her away to start slow dancing in the middle of the kitchen, completely not caring that El’s hands are wet and soapy or that he’s distracting her.

(and sometimes he plants tiny kisses on her neck which are an entirely different kind of distracting)

When they have movie nights, they build a giant pillow fort to snuggle in while they watch movies. And when the movie’s not so good, they totally take advantage of how comfy it is to make out until the movie’s over. Sometimes, if they’re tired, they even fall asleep in the pillow fort and let the movie keep running.

El likes to fill their house with flowers because they’re pretty and she carries this love to having a giant garden in the backyard that she meticulously tends to. Mike loves to help out because he knows it makes her happy and he loves watching her garden because of it.

There’s a room in their house that’s designated as Mike’s workshop-type room. It’s where he can do all the nerdy things he loves in one spot. El doesn’t really go in there too often, except if Mike’s been in there too long and she needs to lure him out (and she’s gotten really good at figuring out ways of doing that).

They do occasionally get into spats/disagreements about silly things. Like El is fastidious about making the bed and Mike doesn’t understand why it matters if they’re just going to be getting back in it at night. Or Mike wants all the spices to be kept in alphabetical order, but El doesn’t think it matters as long as they know where everything is (and shouldn’t they be organized by how often they use them?). They “argue” about which way is right until they realize they’re being ridiculous (and, hey, isn’t making up half the fun of fighting?).

omg im going to stop here before this becomes a full on domestic!mileven fic. i could go on forever, i swear.

Send me a letter and a ship and I’ll write a headcanon based on it!

technically for El to receive?

Although the message was given to the group, the message was something only El could do. 

As it stands right now, I doubt Will knew that El was around or that she had to do something, but in the end, his message was meant for her. 

THAT SAID, I would love for a season 2 comic that would give us more insight on what was happening in Will’s head.

I kinda have a headcanon right now that El managed to reach Will briefly in the void before she arrived to tell her what happened or at least let her see what’s become of him. She seemed to already know what was going on with him before she got there. Reminds me of when she knew who Will was before she knew Will was friends with the boys because she met/saw Will before she even encountered the boys.
