in 2ish weeks (on may 19th) my mom is going to be getting a double mastectomy as part of her ongoing breast cancer treatment. i'm going to be taking 4 weeks off work to help her recover. i am going to attempt to get the leave covered by paid leave oregon, but if they say no i don't really have any other way to get the leave covered and it would be 4 weeks with no income
i do have a Small amount of savings so i'm not asking for donations when there are people who need moeny a LOT more desperately than i do, but.
i am going to share my etsy shop and inprnt again and emphasize that if you've ever been thinking of buying something from me, now would be a great time for that
i also am still taking commissions! my price sheet is old as balls but generally speaking a character commission would run anywhere between 50$ and 100$. i'm open to working with budgets tho!
my union’s comedic timing is Unparalleled
this is my little freak son pierogi he jjust stuck out his weird little paw andput his sharp dagger claw directly onto my Eyeball. evil man
i've been noticing a lot of people both on here and in my real life seem to think that getting a hysterectomy automatically = having your ovaries removed and as such having to rely on artificial hormones for the rest of your life
and i just wanna clarify that that is not true! there are plenty of reasons why someone might pursue oophorectomy (the procedure that removes your ovaries) along with a hysto, but you can also choose to keep one or both ovaries when u get a hysterectomy!
i had a full hysto (removal of the cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes) two years ago because i had pre-cancer on my cervix (i also highly recommend everyone get their hpv vaccine hi), but i kept my ovaries specifically so i wouldn't have to rely on artificial hormones for the rest of my life. this means that my ovaries are still in there producing hormones :-)
there are other sterilizing procedures like salpingectomy or tubal ligation (or even probably others? idk this isn't mean to be a comprehensive list i'm not a doctor just a medically sterile individual who asks a lot of questions at the gynecologist) if hyso isn't for you, but hysterectomy without oophorectomy is also still an option if you're looking for a sterilizing procedure that will let your body keep producing its own hormones
