Hi Ashley don't you think it's ridiculous that the Sinata family doesn't want Scorsese to make the movie because they don't want the world to focus on his bad parts? No one is perfect and I'm sure they don't like that he cheated on their mom but it's a fact. He was not faithful to many women he dealt with mobsters and had depression. This is who made him who he was doesn't mean people will like him any less. You need to show all sides to a person it's a sad shame in my opinion. Your thoughts?

I agree especially because Scorsese absolutely adores Sinatra and I know he would create a complex portrait that was ultimately sympathetic because how could he not? I don’t think the family is worried about Ava or the womanizing, my guess is that it’s the mob and/or physical violence. They’ve always been dishonest about those things, especially Nancy. The funny thing is, for all their efforts, I don’t think they’ve curbed that perception much because even the people who know very little about frank equate him with the mafia. That’s already ingrained in his legacy so at this point they need to just let it be I think. Scorsese is the best possible person to make this movie and I think he could make it really wonderful so I hope they work something out. I wonder if him publicly saying “it’s not going to happen” may have prompted them to reconsider. But also they’re ¼ Sicilian so it might have just pissed them off and made them disown him lmao
