The gameplay hook behind Framed is at once incredibly easy to understand and also lends itself to a variety of unique interactions: the player character is attempting to make their way from one panel to another without being obstructed, and the player must move these panels into different sequences to make it follow to that conclusion. What makes the game come alive is how it takes advantage of panel framing and initial layout to let the player know the problems they’ll be encountering, as well as hint towards the possible solutions without stating them outright (such as by showing a billboard with its letters out of arrangement as hint of the “proper” order).
