He joined the dance floor of his own volition, solo and unbothered by the fact despite everyone else having a dance partner. Under the strobe lights is where the magic truly happens. With the music drowning out everything around him, it's hard to ignore the rhythm moving his body. He had no problem dancing by himself, he can move a crowd anywhere he goes especially when he's on his own!

Twirling into the center of the dance floor is when he noticed someone standing pretty close... He'd probably think they were trying to throw off his groove but the rhythm is so good, too good. Mettaton doesn't even think twice at the hand offered to him. He knows these cues and accepts it without a second thought and even takes the lead!

"Oh my, look at you. Isn't this a little formal for a dance floor like this?" Who was this mystery partner? He has absolutely no clue! Suppose he could ask the questions as they dance the night away but he's determined to shake the stress of today off first. "I hope you know what you're signing up for, gorgeous!"

Well, this wasn't a face that he was expecting to bump into on a break out of the Smith house. He's a free agent as far as he's concerned--or was. Because apparently there's now someone blowing his cover.

Right. Right, he remembers her. He remembers from what he's seen in the real Rick's mind. Survival instincts has him sharp--anything to disarm, hopefully to ensure that she does NOT turn him in.
