Each shoebox is filled with items valued at $50 that women would enjoy but would not splurge on for herself in difficult times. These shoeboxes brighten the holiday season and let women in shelters across Canada know they are special and not forgotten. ❤ HOW TO MAKE A SHOEBOX: 1. GET AN EMPTY SHOEBOX AND DECORATE IT! 2. FILL YOUR SHOEBOX Makeup: mascara, lipstick and nail polish (no concealers or foundations) Body or hand lotions Chocolates, cookies, candies (nut-free products please) Gift certificates to restaurants or retailers such as McDonald’s, Tim Horton’s and Winners (please include the value of the gift certificate) Mitts, hat, scarf Perfume Brush, comb Bus or subway tokens / phone card Hand warmers 3. WRITE AN INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE 4. DROP IT OFF!
