What we love: admiring your own butt in the mirror. What sounds weird at first becomes understandable once you read the (German) book by Yael Adler: You do not talk about that (Darüber spricht man nicht). A book about the areas of your body that we do not usually talk about. One example: in Germany people always laugh at people who talk about their hemorrhoids. They laugh because they believe that hemorrhoids are a disease and they themselves have none. Fact is, that all humans have hemorrhoids. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to excrete our bowel movements in a controlled manner. This is only one example. Other topics in the book are body odors, sexuality and other, supposed physical defects that are taboo to society. Our body is our body. We should not allow anyone to judge him. Instead, we should learn how it works, why, understand what is natural and what we do just wrong by alleged hygiene and what problems we create with it. Apart from alleged hygiene we also suffer from from misconceptions and wrong ideals. And again we also have to ask to what extent we can allow White knowledge to be the ideal for our bodies. For example scientists have found out that the body odor of Japanese and probably also Korean and Chinese people is based on different chemistry processes than in White people. . #whatwelove #waswirlieben #loveyourbutt #darübersprichtmannicht #hygiene #loveyourbody #asianbodies #nobodyshaming #nobodytaboos #dailydoodles https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs3BbwVnJM_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=opu5f3v5qqaq
