Hi Mare! I'm presenting a panel on asexuality as Alastor at an upcoming con and was wondering if it would be okay to mention your work / show a piece of your art as an example of asexual representation in fandom spaces. I love the comics you've made, especially the QPR depicted in My Deer Nanny. Thank you for all your lovely art and writing!
OMG THAT SOUNDS LOVELY AND I WOULD BE HONORED TO HAVE MY FANWORKS FEATURED!! Please take your pick to what you find most suitable!!
All of my radioapple is under an Ace Alastor lens (specifically sex-repulsed). Most works I create also place Alastor as aromantic as well, with the exception being the "Big City AU", where I wanted to depict a demiromantic, asexual Alastor. In "My Deer Nanny", I'm writing with the lens that Alastor is aromantic and asexual, but is not touch-averse. I still write him as romance and sex-repulsed in that AU. I write Lucifer with a lens that is pansexual and panromantic, as well as poly. The AU focuses on their growing connection (it is radioapple after all) where they share a QPR that is a bit messy because 1. Alastor's secret hobbies 2. Lucifer's mysterious past with his wife and family 3. Their employee/employer relationship 4. The worst communicators ever The entire AU, while made on a whim, has always been made with the intention of representing Alastor as an aroace character in this queer, complicated relationship with Lucifer. I want their bond and love for one another to become deep and true, without being romantic or sexual. Coparents, dance partners, loyal friends. Thank you so much for asking!! If the panel is recorded, I'd really love to watch it!!! I hope you have a great panel!!
