trying to come up with my own research project right now :\
It's okay to feel intimidated by the idea of being nonbinary, especially in regards to the future.
It’s a Lumberjack kinda day 🌲
Usually hate all this mushy crap but I feel so happy with particular parts of my life right now. :-)
distinction and high distinction on my first two uni assignments! :)
I have been thinking about writing something about starting uni and all the rest of it but I never actually got around to it. So let me bore you with some details now.
Uni is such an incredible place.. almost magical. (too corny? I know..but its true..some of the buildings even resemble Hogwarts! ok fine..then how about the fact they have bubble cup? Or a café that serves hot-chocolate with toblerone in it? Or have slice of pizzas for $2.50? Or that they gave out free delicious hot cross buns yesterday?yes?!)
anyways I am genuinely loving every second of it. Yes the work will get hard..and yes every single one of the 500 people in my cohort can kick ass, but so far it has been amazing. I was tossing up between Monash and Melbourne for quite a bit and even during orientation I was seriously thinking of changing. But I knew I made the right decision the second I walked into my first lecture.
Also commuting everyday isn’t bad at all. Especially with my good friend beside me every day.
I even love the four 8am startups. Sadly I am not even kidding. I have finally become a morning person now.
I have done so many things for this year already. Ticked several things off of my imaginary bucket list.
The MUSLSA play was the biggest highlight though. I got to work closely with so many talented people and honestly had so much fun (this is beside the fact I majorly screwed up with the curtains and still get shiz for it haha). Too bad I missed the pants-off friday and the squating comp :(
and to top it all off three of my really good mates finally came here from Lanka for Uni. We have been mates since grade 4, so having them here now makes everything so much better. Also the fact that they have cute-tiny apartments in the cbd make them so much cooler!
Considering the amount of bad things happened to me throughout of 2012, for a while there I honestly didn’t think I will knock back from it. I ended last year on a massively sour note and I was in such a bad place. I really should thank my amazing friends (special shout out to Shal, Mel, Reddy, Rajika, Gimna and Matt..you probs wouldn’t even see this..but honestly thank you so much for putting up with my constant rants!) for being in my life and helping me throughout it all. I really am looking forward to what the rest of this year has to offer!
One of the most awesome things about uni is how mature some people are but still at the same time can be so much fun. Like they are growing up but not grown up.
I had my first day of rugby today! It was fun! I thought I was going to be the only new girl, but there were only like 5 girls who really knew how to play. I had a blast :D
