Sometimes you get an idea and then it seizes you and refuses to let go. It was supposed to be a few images, like a short comic. Then it was supposed to be a small gif. And then it kept escalating and when I looked up how much memory a gif can have when uploaded on tumblr, I found I very much went past the limit. So it is now a video.
This is more fanart for one of @alexanderleeofficial’s fanfics! Another ask that unexpectedly was answered with a fic! A fic had me laughing and blushing and full of inspiration. And this was the result.

I apologize for the lack of audio because I was not planning on this being a video at all. But please know the music in my mind is funny sounding.
Because I was planning on it being a few short panels (maybe like 6) the scene is absolutely not accurate to the fic. I started making thumbnails and realized my idea was a lot more effort than I expected, but I wanted to finish before the month ended, so I ended up simplifying the scenes anyways. One day, when I feel more confident in my art skilla, perhaps I may redo Xander handing Ethan the drinks.
The thumbnails were a lot of fun to make. Here is my favorite one:
It’s so funny to me.
I kept forgetting Xander’s scar and that’s why it’s so inconsistent.
Ethan is not wearing the hoodie I usually draw him wearing. I wanted to have him wear something else but still have Xander’s color. So a light blue hoodie!
I wanted to doodle a panel of a follow-up with Blake, where he either:
1. Is concerned for Ethan because he sees a “bruise” on Ethan’s neck and is worried that Ethan was hurt by calling Alexander, well, “Xander.” Ethan would reassure him while red with embarrassment. It would be unclear if Blake learns what actually happened.
2. Blake asks Ethan how it went and Ethan would tell him that he can’t call Alex by his preferred nickname. Way back in the distance stands Xander with a very expectant expression on his face. Blake does not learn what happened in this scenario.
I noticed Ethan would get like, what do you call it, a full body blush(?). And he seems to get flustered easily when he’s attracted to someone, hence why he’s so red in the video (I also like the idea he doesn’t get flustered easily unless he really cares about someone. I also think it’s cute if he goes the other way and gets flustered really easily because people likely don’t expect it of him.) Poor man is tomato and will probably overheat if he doesn’t get a break.

When you randomly start shipping LovingClue and then he kills him but then he’s alive again ?? I’m having a week with the recent lore like wtf Zeyn (the creator) I love you so much please stop traumatizing me and making me love people just for them to go down the traumatized/dead/revived pipeline ?!
