Here are some pictures that I shared with my Challenge Group this morning. I talked about stepping outside your comfort zone and wonderful things will happen. It was nerve-racking enough to share these in with my Challengers who I have become like family to me. But the idea of posting these for a wider, unclosed audience was even scarier. But I can't talk the talk unless I walk the walk. And those things that make you nauseated, needs to be overcome! Don't let fear stop you from inspiring that one person out there who might be waiting to hear YOUR message!!!
"This is the current real me! This isn't what I was 4 years ago or even 1 year ago! And hopefully it won't be where I'm at this time next year! But currently this is what I'm working with!
Most days I feel like I can hide this with clothing. Some days I look at it and I'm disgusted. Part of it is due to the progress and success I've had. Of course that's a reminder of how bad I let my body and health go. And then part of this still work that I need to focus on.
I do take angle shots so you guys won't see this. I do hold it in so I won't be ashamed. I do my videos with a tank or shirt on hoping that no one will see what lies beneath the fabric. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes those rolls just pop out of nowhere! lol
My goal is get to a maintaining weight right now and then contemplate whether I want to have some type of skin removal surgery. My doctor and some pics I've seen has pretty much convinced me that I don't want to have surgery but maybe a nip and a tuck here and there. Not sure!
Honestly, once I get there, I may not do anything! I have a husband who loves me no matter what! And being on my second marriage, I realize what a blessing that is!!!
But wanted to share this with you guys to let you know this:
1. No one is ever "perfect". There's no such thing! Stop trying! Trust me, it's exhausting!
2. You've got to work on your mental view of your body as you go along with your journey. I'm still working on this!
3. Focus when you look at yourself, on the successes. The signs left over from having your babies! The hard work you put in to lose that 100 lbs! The workouts you did the past week to make you stronger, leaner, faster, and more powerful mentally and physically!
4. If you can't laugh at yourself, then someone else will! I make fun of my "wings" and some of my obstacles during my healthy journey. But this allows me to smile and have fun with it! I struggle and sometimes the idea of farting during your workout class is funny! At least to me! lol
5. Always challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone!!! I've been doing this for over a year now and amazing things have happened in my life! Last weekend was a prime example! You will make new friends, have new experiences, and receive new insight on life! I promise a whole new world will open up to you that includes tons of love and support!!!"
