I have yet to settle into my dorm and create a routine. Though I've made good friends and my art course looks like it will be a lot of fun and a tad stressful hah ><. On a sad note I feel as though I'm getting further away from Islam and peace once again because I havent prayed once since I've moved in due to my small reason being I dont know which way to face. Argh, I need to sort this out today so I can feel at ease. I want to pray and stay sane and feel happy.

Born Muslim

Wow, I’m so ashamed that I have embarrassed Islam so much, MY GOSH What I say, the way I dress, where I have been and what I have done And still no sign of betterment Just chances on a July 2013 revert, subahanAllah with a christian family and I am like really Biba, you simply suck So many blessings and I have just flushed it down the drain… Smh May Allah really help me change for the better once and for all this Ramadan

The dead heart of a Muslim

A person went to Hassan Basri and said, "Hadrat, I do not know why, but our hearts have slept."

Hadrat asked, "How is that?"

He answered, "You speak to us with examples, and educate us, but this heart is not affected."

Sheikh Basri replied "If this is so, then do not say this heart is asleep. Say it is dead."

The man, upon hearing this, was suprised and asked how this was so. Basri replied "Look, when a person is sleeping and is woken, he wakes up but when he dies, no amount of shaking will wake him up."
