Why don't you ever have faith in me?
Dear Low Self Esteem
I see you. I see you in the darkness, in the light; I see you when I'm sleeping, when I'm conscious, when I'm in that somewhere not quite within dreams but not quite aware of reality.
I see you in the lacking of my chin, the largeness of my forehead, the thickness of my brows, the paleness of my skin. I see you in the dullness of my hair, the smallness of my breasts, the dimples in my fat, the unsightliness of my buttocks.
My bones ache and tire beneath the weight of you, low self esteem.
My ears ring with the sound of your teasing.
I retch and choke and try to not listen to it--but there it always is. I look into the mirror and only want to peel away the dysmorphic reality.
But somewhere, somewhere inside me, is the screaming force that I am beautiful no matter what you say to me, Low Self Esteem. And I WILL DEFEAT YOU.
ugh...
why do I feel this way? oh my gosh, I never think I'm good enough for anyone. I never think I'm good enough for myself. D: I feel ugly and worthless and pathetic and stupid and like such a loser and I'm super boring and nobody likes me. T^T
I miss those days.
When I actually thought i was good at something.
I hate it when other people call themselves fat, especially when they're not.
But, when I look in the mirror I can't stop myself from thinking the same.
