This month flew by in a blur of work deadlines, late-night scrolling, iced coffee runs, and trying (and failing) to keep my houseplants alive. I didn’t make it to a single parade, didn’t throw glitter at anyone, didn’t even buy a single rainbow accessory (unless you count the accidental rainbow reflection on my laptop screen from the sun hitting my water bottle). No big parties, no dramatic coming-out stories, no curated Pride photo shoots. Just me, showing up as myself every single day, in all my quietly queer glory. And you know what? That’s enough.

Existing loudly in a world that sometimes still makes it hard is its own form of resistance. Waking up and choosing softness when the world feels sharp. Loving who I love without apology. Laughing too loud at dumb memes, crying at Pixar movies, wearing whatever the hell I want, and letting my authentic self take up space unapologetically. That’s the gayest (and most human) thing I did all month.

To every person out there who also “just existed” this Pride whether you were too tired, too busy, too broke, too anxious, or just not in the mood for the performative rainbow overload — I see you. You’re enough. Your quiet presence matters. Your everyday authenticity is powerful. You don’t need to earn your spot at the table by doing the most. You already belong here.

So here’s to the low-key Pride warriors. The ones who survived another month just by being. The ones turning survival into quiet celebration. The ones who know that sometimes the most radical thing you can do is simply keep existing as your full, colorful, complicated self.
