One night passed and Foxette did not leave the mascot repair room. She was far too nervous. Too preoccupied by the now unoccupied exosuit pieces leftover from her friends. Surprisingly, she was not visited by anybody. Perhaps the other animatronics simply didn’t come to this room? She had no idea.
In the morning, Jordan came by to check on her. “Uh, hey, so... I’m going to be bringing Marcus by later... I want to introduce him to the animatronics, slowly. Um... I’d just like you to stay in here tonight, okay? I don’t want to scare him too badly after what we just went through...”
“Then maybe you should also wait a little while before introducing him to everyone... how about tonight you introduce me to everyone?” Foxette suggested. She blurted that out, too. She wasn’t ready to meet these new animatronics! Foxette was just concerned.
“If you want?” Jordan seemed puzzled. “And, well, you’re right. It’s only been a couple of days. I’ll bring him by tomorrow. I was talking to him about it a little bit today... I’ll just take him to meet my family tonight, then. I’ll give you a tour some other time though if you want it!”
“Good plan...” Foxette gave a sigh of relief. “I’ll get out a little tonight, promise.”
Jordan nodded and left it at that. On top of wondering how best to introduce Marcus to the animatronics, who were basically her second family, she was wondering how they’d ever get the parts together to completely fix Foxette’s friends. Not nearly enough parts had been found and taken back to even fix Baby, the smallest of them. She’d tackle that problem when it came up next, however.
Before Jordan could leave the building, Loxie flagged her down. “Hey, Jordan~. That boy you’re talking about, is his name Marcus Thorson, by any chance?”
“...Whyyy?” Oh no. Loxie was well-known for gossip, so this could only be bad. But hopefully not.
“He makes music! I found some of it on the web after you mentioned his name. Hehe.” “LOXIE IS SHIPPIN’ YE.” “CAPTAIN! Oooh, why don’t you have a mute button?!””
Jordan just facepalmed. Time to exit this conversation before Loxie somehow managed to pick up on her crush on Marcus. “Okay, that’s great. I’m going to go now before customers start coming in. Later, Loxie!”
