Hi!! I just wanted to say that i really really loved Dogs Of War!! And so i wanted to ask two (technically three) things, 1) i noticed that edward is reminded a lot of resembool when hes in the south on the frontlines so, assuming that he ever manages to escape and go back home, do u think that hed maybe not be able to adjust cause he constantly thinks hes back out fighting due to the landscape? :3 2) could i draw things from the fic? I mostly use twitter but id send u the link thru here! Thanks!
Hi, Anon! I'm so happy to hear that you got a kick out of Dogs of War! ❤️
I'm going to answer in reverse order so that I can put spoilers under the cut:
2) *insert frantic screaming noises* Of course you can draw things from the fic! Thanks for asking! Please just make sure to add the name of the fic, my author name, and a link.
And, yes, please do send me the link, too -- I'd love nothing more than to gush over your amazing artwork and (if it's okay) add the link to the bottom of the applicable chapter.
1) Ooooh. What an interesting thought. Resembool was mentioned when describing the area just so that readers could have a reference of what it looked like...
Mwahahahahaha. Poor man 🤣

Playing San Francisco tonight with Vermin Womb, Less Art and Western Addiction tonight!
So I read dogs of war and if im being honest with myself it was more like I inhaled it. Its amazing! I love the angst, it made me cry at least twice. That second to last chapter absolutely demolished me. I'm so sorry you were getting hate, its unwarranted. As a writer myself, I know how hard personal life can make it to keep up with your works and with everything going on currently? Take all the time that you need! You'll still have people here to support you!
Aw, Anon, you’re a rock star. Thanks so much for leaving such a kind message! It made what’s objectively been a pretty shitty week just that much better.
Overall, fandoms are pretty fantastic places to be; 99% of the people consuming and producing content are absolutely fantastic, and I’ve been trying to remind myself of that.
As for the other 1%, I’ve been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt—maybe they were looking for a goofy fic and they got more invested in Dogs of War than they intended, maybe the characters aren’t reacting the way they want them to, maybe something else entirely—and in the shitty, stressful climate that we’re in right now, a subset of that 1% just has to get all their negative feelings out somehow.
Sure, maybe it’s mean and more than a little rude of them, but I don’t think that letting anger beget anger is going to do anyone—including them, or me—any real favours right now.
So you, Anon, are already ahead of the curve. Keep being kind. Keep being awesome. And good luck with your writing! (And let me know when it’s done, if you don’t mind—I’m curious what you’re working on!)
