𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐃𝐈𝐂 was Tamara’s chuckle as she swirled her fork in the pasta, twisting it so it would cling onto the utensil before being brought to her lips. ❝ Isn’t it ? I’m more of a smoked salmon type of person but I still got taste buds, ❞ The Karnassosian magician said to Sypha, eyes beaming as she offered them a WARM smile. ❝ Pasta is kind of scarce in Vesuvia. We prefer rices and noodles, at least, us commoners. The Countess and her courtiers are much, much luckier than us with all those extravagant foods. ❞ Tilting her head, her shawl swayed along, ❝ Is the same where you’re from ? ❞
“I wouldn’t say pasta is a staple where I come from, but it is in my homeland--the part called Catalonia, at least. And the Kingdom of Italy, especially in the Veneto. My father was a merchant and part of his wares were foodstuffs,” Sypha explained while twisting their own portion on a fork, savoring the food so reminiscent of the fare from al-Andulus. Though it was unusual that they might manage to bond with the much-storied apprentice, Tamara, being generously loaned her kitchen to prepare some of the Catalonian morsels had been a treasured opportunity. Especially since her mentor was away on one of his trips, it did free up some space. “I haven’t cooked this in a long time-- Fideus a la cassola. Hopefully it’s good?”
