Hello! I'm Gigi/Zelda Diarist! I've been a LoZ fan since childhood, but joined the fandom as an adult, slowly gaining the courage to share my artworks (and writing) online - I love mixed media, specially Copic markers and colored pencils, but I also learned digital media in the process, Procreate is my favorite tool for that! I have a special place in my heart for zelink, and even more for Twilight Princess zelink, so I'm hyped up to make a piece for this zine! You can find me here:
So I’ve decided I want to give dedicated shout outs to some of the wonderful people I’ve ‘met’ in my short time being on Tumblr. I hope no one minds me doing this (can be deleted if so), it’s my dorky way of expressing my gratitude/respect/ letting you all know you’re appreciated. I might not do this every weekend (I don’t know many people, sometimes my confidence takes a nose dive and I over worry) but thought it might be a sweet way to let people know that they are awesome! I am very much in the mindset of lifting people up rather than tearing them down, we all need good vibes at times. 😁
I want to dedicate my first shout out to the wonderful @wanderingnightingale. A very talented person in both writing and singing as well as being very supportive too.
Going to put my shout out below the cut just to avoid any spoilers for their work, and so people can avoid my rambling if they so choose.
I first came across Wandering Nightingale's work ‘Dropping the Sword’ on AO3 and was blown away with the writing style and the story of this fic. The emotions the characters feel is so very palpable it makes my heart ache for them, I want to wrap them in a blanket and keep them all safe. I highly recommend this fic, but please be prepared for all of the feels.
Nightingale then answered one of my first ever posts on Tumblr about getting into writing fanfiction and this encouraged me to write my first ever piece for one of the days in Zelink week. I then find out about the amazing ‘Kass’ Song’ project she is working on and all I can say about that is ‘WOW!’. 🤩🤩 How is it possible for one person to have soooo much talent? Seriously, go check it out, it’s incredible! (Hope the link works, wasn't sure how to link to a Tumblr post).
I’ve had a few different ideas for fics for a while now but never felt I could try and put these ideas on paper, yet speaking with Nightingale has really, really helped me more than I think they will ever realise. It was so nice being asked about my ideas and getting feedback on them, so there is a good chance that I may write a full fic in the future and maybe even post it on AO3 (maybe, if I ever feel confident enough).
So yeah, in short, you are a wonderful writer, talented singer and an all round lovely person and I thank you so much for your kind words and support that you’ve shown me in my short time here. 😊
Final note to Nightingale: I don’t think I’ll ever forget Minion nipples! I don’t recommend trying to find the gif on Tumblr, it isn’t there (that I could see) and I certainly found more than I bargained for. 😅🤣😆

Hi all, I'm Hurricane! Korok hunter and idiots-to-lovers writer. I enjoy putting Link and Zelda in situations and writing about how their relationship develops, especially when their backgrounds and personalities play big roles. My favorite games are Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess, and I write fics for them on AO3. I'm also on Tumblr and Bluesky. Excited to write for this zine!
@hurricane105 YESSSS I am a complete sucker for “Link delivers the sword” AU’s, so this was such a pleasant surprise! I love the idea so much, I’m actually in the middle of writing my own take on it, if you can believe that 😂 Glad to see I’m not alone 🤝
This was such a sweet and wholesome meeting between these two! I love how we can see the sparks of a beautiful friendship being born throughout. Link trusting Zelda with his secrets and Zelda sympathizing with him on such a close and personal level. It’s wonderful how you tie them so close together in such a short time ❤️
And I love how Link was crushing so hard, I can barely blame him 😂 It was both cute and funny how he was constantly berating himself and trying to talk himself out of any romantic potential with the princess (even though I feel the potential is quite strong, hehehe 👀)
Really cute ending too. It’s totally a date lol ;)

@zeldadiarist OH WOWWWW this is some lovely TP Zelink art! I love the color scheme. All the soft and vibrant uses of pink. The way they’re illuminated in the night. So pretty ✨
But of course, I truly love the two sweethearts at the center of it all haha ❤️ I love their happy little smiles. Their looks of awe and joy. I love the outfits you’ve designed for them too, they just look so cozy and casual 😌 Beautiful work :)

Sorry for missing last weeks shout out and for nearly missing this weeks as well!
This week I want to give a shout out to @zeldaelmo - I’ve been binge reading one of you fics over the past few days and I’m completely hooked on your writing style and your ideas!
There are spoilers below the cut.
This shout out may be quite revealing about the type of stuff I’ve been reading this week (I would say I’m sorry but I’m kinda not!)
Strangers In The Night was incredible to read! Loved the character building in this fic and how each character is made up of different pieces combined to make the whole. Your version of Link was just so perfect in every way; adventurous, smart, career driven but the sweetest dad! I love the journey you take him on in this fic and how his character grows into his new role as a father - he may not get everything right all of the time but that is life, I love the way you wrote his internal monologue and thought process especially in the tooth brush scene!
And Zelda? What a woman! Been through some tough times, questioned about her motives and yet is the most understand person despite all of this. The way she allows Link and Tetra’s relationship to blossom and grow organically? Just amazing. I just can’t put into words how much I enjoyed this fic.
I also really liked your work during Whumptober, Stitches was so well planned and executed. The ending? Just so sweet! I also love all the banners you have for you work - they are all so beautiful.
Thank for being welcoming to me when I first joined Tumblr and answering my questions about choosing which fandom to write an idea for. You also share some really great stuff for writing on your blog which I have found so helpful so thank you for that as well!
I haven’t read all of your fics on ao3 yet, but I’m sure that I will. Your 300 words shorts are just sweet and I always wish there was a full fic because your writing is just 🤩🤩. I have no idea how you can write such perfection in so few words and still tell a whole story - that, my friend, is just pure talent! Please do keep it up, and keep being you! 😁
