It's been two weeks since Enchantment Zine was released, and I'm honoured and delighted at the reception that our humble little zine received.

All the work that the contributors put in was phenomenal, and they deserve all the praise and more. I hope that anyone who comes across this zine in the future will newly appreciate these artists and writers, who are so talented and care so deeply about their craft. This zine is for the fans and the fellow zelink lovers.

And with that, I’ve finished my round of commenting. But I think it would be remiss if I didn’t leave one final shoutout for @silentsafflina ❤️

The amount of effort you’ve poured into this little fan project is so evident. I imagine it takes a lot of work to coordinate so many awesome creators and make a presentable final product. But you accomplished it and your zine is here and it’s truly a piece of art to behold ✨

If nothing else, please know that at least one person got some serious entertainment from perusing your creation 🙋‍♂️ It’s a shame I ended up backing out of this project early on, but reading and commenting on all of the works makes me feel like I was able to participate in some way, and I think I can be fully satisfied with that haha 😌

Thank you so much for all of your hard work. It’s truly awesome to see a passionate fan project come together like this. Be proud of yourself! You’ve done something amazing! :D

Empty Echoes

@abbyz-elda Awwww, this was so sweet! I love their characterizations and dynamic here! Link being so soft spoken and not good with his words 🥺 And Zelda not believing in herself or seeing herself as special when compared to Link 😭 They’re both such bashful little guys…

But I love that Link is so supportive and encouraging with her! He never stopped believing in Zelda’s abilities and even found his voice for the sake of Zelda finding her power 🥹 It’s so poetic and beautiful. And AHHHHH that hug at the end!!! Seriously, they’re adorable ❤️

I also loved your idea for the Tri Rod utilizing might crystals! That’s so fun and it feels like a natural solution the characters would be willing to explore ✨ All in all, this was a lovely read 😌

The Point of No Return

@chibimena Hey hey whoaaaa what is going on here??? Evil Link holding Zelda in his grasp 😱 The poor girl honestly looks bewitched. Like she’s falling for his charm and can’t fight against it 😭 Somebody needs to save her, me thinks!!!

Beautiful art, as always 😌I love their hair, the way it’s so wavy and curly. I love the color scheme, all the uses of purples and reds to really create a dark, unsettling vibe 👌 And oh my goodness, does Link have fangs??? It only adds to his unsettling nature tenfold 💯

Wonderful work. I can’t stop staring at it and being concerned for Zelda 😂🙈

Fates Entwined 

@lunarchibistry Oh my goodness, your art is so bright and lovely! The red string stands out so well and I love the way it loops up and around them. 

And oh my gosh, I am in love with the characters themselves! They are too sweet 😭 Link’s bright smile and Zelda’s more bashful and loving gaze. They make such a sweet pair and you’ve done them so much justice here ❤️ Love your style!

Beyond the Fountain

@Thousand_Word_Jun is yet another person I’ll have to shoutout on Bluesky. Not that I mind haha.

But ooh, this was very interesting! I love the idea of Zelda traveling to the fairies to ask for a blessing. It’s nice that despite their reservations, they acknowledge Zelda’s accomplishments and gift it to her anyway. It feels both triumphant and relieving in a way 😌

And lol, I loved the fairies’ personalities and banter. The part where Mija said she expected Link to be taller, only to immediately follow it up with also expecting Zelda to be taller. It was so funny. It honestly got a good chuckle out of me 😂 And I loved Zelink’s little banter at the end too! Zelda acting all tough and playfully offering to follow him around on his adventures. It’s too cute ❤️

Heart of a Dragon

@korokposting Wow, your art is stunning! I love the image of the two dragons forming the heart shape; it’s so simple and yet so lovely to see all the same 🫶 And I love that Link has a slightly more green color scheme going on hehe :)

The details are great too! I just keep staring at this and finding little things that I love haha. The pattern of the scales. The fairies and stars around them. The jaw-dropping background and the fact that it looks like it’s snowing!!! Such wonderful scenery, and I just adore looking at it all. Beautiful work!

Through Stone

@sparklyhyperbole Ooh very interesting and thought-provoking story! It’s horrible to see a future where Zelda unlocks a little too much power and ends up feeling like something is wrong with her all the same 😭 And it’s awful that she felt the need to retreat so many times and only ever found comfort in a heroic statue of all things…

And that statue is…very interesting haha. What exactly is it? How did it get there? Is Link a boy turned to stone and later unthawed? What made him like that? What made the magic undone? I am so curious and would love to hear any author’s commentary on what happened behind the scenes, if you’re willing to share 😂❤️

“One single note rings in silver, in harp song, like morning light and 

steel resolve as a sword swings with a ferocious cry.” - Such an epic and poetic way to describe a sword swing. Beautiful imagery 👌 Your writing and use of words is honestly lovely in general. Some truly great, poetic wiring throughout ✨

And I love the wholesome ending! Zelda realizing she had supporters amidst her accusers. The woman who thanks her for saving her husband once upon a time 🥹 It’s a wonderfully heartwarming note to end on. Lovely work :)

The Apothecary and Her Favorite Customer

@chimpukampu Your artwork is fun and cute! I love Link’s little smile; he looks so happy and a little shy 😌 And I love how Zelda is studying his material while also slightly blushing. Perhaps she’s even more shy than he is? 😂

And wow, you’ve included so many fun background details! The little blupees digging into everything and a bright pink fairy floating around and a causal potion steaming on the side ✨ It all makes for such a cozy atmosphere ❤️

To Love a Beast 

@citrinediamondeyes This was a lovely little story 😌 I love how Link was always observing Zelda from afar. Trying to understand her, but never quite getting a clear picture of who she is. Dreaming of her, but never believing they would connect. It’s touching to think that the two of them were bonded long before they met proper ❤️

And I love how once Link’s destiny changes and the two of them finally meet, Link understands her so much better and also understands what she desperately needs. A friend. Just someone to rely on and find comfort in during the difficult trials she’s facing. It’s so simple but unbelievably heartwarming 🥰 Great stuff :)

A World of Paint 

@mistresslrigtar MISSYYYY I adored this!!! You’ve done ALBW Zelink some beautiful, wonderful justice! I love the setting and the scene you used. Link running away from both popularity and a party is so him 😂💯 And the idea of hiding in a painting is so fun! I loved how he hid in Zelda’s favorite painting and she was studying it and quickly noticed that something was amiss lol ❤️

“He was far more handsome than the wimp in the portrait. That guy looked like a complete moron.” - LMAO. Link that is your predecessor. Watch what you say 🤣🤣

I love how Link was crushing on Zelda too. Their relationship is so innocent and sweet 😌 And oh my goodness, the way you described Zelda. It’s no wonder the boy is falling so hard for her ❤️ And the way he was all nervous and ended up falling at her feet like a klutz and the way she attacked him with her fan 😂 Every moment was just so fun and perfect, I truly loved this from beginning to end 🫶

And AHHHHH the ending was perfect too! Link taking Zelda into her favorite painting to hide, and they end up exploring such a beautiful landscape hand in hand. It’s absolutely adorable. Too cute. Too precious. I love them I love them I love themmmmm ❤️

Sweater Curse

ZeldaElmo Your story was so fun and silly and sweet! I love how Zelda tries to dismiss all the superstitions surrounding the sweater, but as soon as she’s alone, they start eating away at her 😂 She definitely seems like the type of person to worry about that stuff once she starts thinking on it for too long. And of course, all the parallels to Link potentially being cursed in a never ending cycle of battle are something to stress over 😭

But I love how Link brushes it all off lol. “It’s only a curse if you let it be one.” - such wise words and such a charming outlook. It’s so Link and I love it ❤️ He doesn’t see their situation as a curse, but rather a blessing. An opportunity to be together forever. It’s so sweet and meaningful.

And I really loved getting a glimpse into their casual surface life! Hearing about the new home they built and the offhand mention that they like to play cards together. It all feels so cozy 😌 Kind of like a wearing a big sweater, I guess 😂😂 Oh, and I loved the final line too! Zelda going to fetch the scissors and help him out lol. They feel like such a married couple and I adore every moment of it ❤️ Lovely work :)

Bound through Time

@truffeart Oh my goodness, your art is stunning!!! Your style for the characters is so charming. Link looks so cute and boyish and Fi looks downright perfect 👌 And wow, the background has so many details going on! I love the color scheme and the lighting and all the turning time wheels (is that what they’re called? lol) looking like they’re surrounding the duo. Burying them and pressuring them, even 👀

See You Tonight

@hurricane105 YESSSS I am a complete sucker for “Link delivers the sword” AU’s, so this was such a pleasant surprise! I love the idea so much, I’m actually in the middle of writing my own take on it, if you can believe that 😂 Glad to see I’m not alone 🤝

This was such a sweet and wholesome meeting between these two! I love how we can see the sparks of a beautiful friendship being born throughout. Link trusting Zelda with his secrets and Zelda sympathizing with him on such a close and personal level. It’s wonderful how you tie them so close together in such a short time ❤️

And I love how Link was crushing so hard, I can barely blame him 😂 It was both cute and funny how he was constantly berating himself and trying to talk himself out of any romantic potential with the princess (even though I feel the potential is quite strong, hehehe 👀)

Really cute ending too. It’s totally a date lol ;)
